What we can help with
- Factual corrections. If a page contains an outdated SSA threshold, an incorrect rule, or a calculation error, tell us the page URL and the specific issue. SSDI benefit thresholds and credit values change annually and we want to know when something is stale.
- Methodology questions. Questions about how the PIA formula works, what the bend points represent, or how a specific input affects the calculation are welcome. The methodology page covers the full model.
- Broken links or technical issues. If a page isn’t loading or a link is broken, let us know.
- Content suggestions. Suggestions for topics we haven’t covered — specific impairment categories, state supplement questions, concurrent benefit scenarios — are appreciated.
What we cannot help with
We are not a law firm and cannot provide legal advice or evaluate your individual SSDI claim. For guidance on your specific situation — whether your condition qualifies, how to handle a denial, or whether to pursue an ALJ hearing — consult a licensed disability attorney or SSA-accredited representative. Most handle SSDI cases on contingency (no upfront fee, 25% of back pay capped at $7,200 if you win). SSA maintains a directory of accredited representatives at ssa.gov.
We cannot recommend specific attorneys, predict case outcomes, or provide SSA account access assistance.
